Surface finish | Average 150 grit (Ra 1.06 m) surface finish throughout; welds cleaned and polished and all material contact welds ground flush and polished. |

Drive | Compact, sanitary stainless steel gearbox with gears designed for minimum backlash and optimum gear life. Gearbox output shaft equipped with a custom designed, FDA compliant, high performance seal on a plasma sprayed and ground shaft sealing surface for optimum wear resistance. Extra sanitary considerations include: integrated drain hole to drain any cleaning fluids, integrated centrifugal seal to reduce product migration, and FDA compliant Teflon sealing rings. |
Impeller speed | Approximately 1500-3600 RPM with electrics package detailed below. Standard impeller speed is approximately 2400RPM. Consult Quadro for maximum allowable range for custom packages. |
Impeller/Screen Gap | Closest possible, without the need for ANY adjustments. This eliminates the possibility of operator error which could result in metal to metal contact or poor operating performance. Note: Closest gap is CRITICAL for optimum Conical Screen Milling. |
